The content at the very least will give you the confidence to communicate effectively with industry professionals and contractors alike and stay in control of your finances better then most.
Because we are self-builders ourselves!
OK, so we do have experience across a wide range of construction roles including architectural design, builders merchant account management, setting-out engineering, site management, contracts management, estimating and quantity surveying which helps us along the way but we think our USP is our knowledge of self building learned from our recent personal projects.
Its also worth noting here that we come from a main-contracting background, not consultancy. Main-contractors generally make money by finishing on time and on or under budget. Our careers mean we know how to design and build, get a good deal, communicate with contractors, build safely and finish on time and budget and this platform hopes to share some of that knowledge with you.

First and foremost we hope that the free process map and resources we provide gives enough advice to allow more people to explore their self-build options. We have produced the resources and templates in a way that allows users to produce their own project information without time-consuming bespoke advice and thus allows us to offer so much for free.
As experienced construction people working for large main-contractors in various site & office management roles we still found our own self builds challenging and want to help other people stay in control of their projects without charge.
